Did you know that NSW households and businesses throw out almost one million tonnes of food waste each year? That’s approximately $2 billion dollars’ worth of edible food. All the while 100,000 people living across NSW are struggling to put food on the table.

Working tirelessly to bridge the gap, the NSW Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) and Environmental Trust have created food donation grants to enable not for profit organisations to purchase equipment to assist them with collecting, storing and distributing donated food.

As an anti-food waste advocate, our Director Miccal Cummins spoke to EPA about the issue of food waste within the food industry and how we’re actively attempting to minimise our food waste footprint.
