These are a delicious and beautiful summer treat. They are simple to make and a perfect gift for friends and family this holiday season.

20 – 30 fresh cherries, rinsed and driedwhite chocolate cherries
400g white melting chocolate
Edible gold glitter

Melt the chocolate in a heat proof bowl set atop a pot of simmering water. Make sure the bowl is not touching the water.

When melted, remove from heat.

Dip the cherries in the chocolate and shake of the excess.

Sprinkle with the gold glitter and allow to set.

White chocolate is very delicate and will seize if overheated or if it comes in contact with water.

Avoid this by using metal or silicone utensils as wood can retain moisture.

Remove the pot from the heat rather than lifting the bowl from the pot. This prevents steam escaping into your melted chocolate.

We packed our cherries in recycled cardboard boxes lined with linen and greaseproof paper. The brown and cream colour scheme feels very luxury Christmas and we added a bit of sparkle by dipping our name tags in PVA glue and then gold glitter.
